Repair data bse

when I try to repair/optimize my data base I get the error message:
ElevateDB error #700 An error was found in the statement at line 1 and column 19 (expected end of expression but instead found of )

How can I overcome the probkem?

Remember the last category folder

I have four category folders to represent four big fields that I am interested in, each of them may have a large number of categories.
The default setting for biblioscape is to list all the categories in the right category pane. However, we may only want to focus on the present field, and hide the categories of past fields. To list all the categories is really a distraction in most cases.
So each time when I start the biblioscape, I need to manually go though some steps to let the bilioscape to show only the categories of a certain folder.

Omitting references when flagging

Now and then, Biblioscape does not flag the first of selected references.

Realized that this is the opposite effect to not removing all flags............... DANGEROUS!

Error message when selecting multiple tags

In the notes module, I want to select multiple categories so that I can then " Search - Containing Any Selected Tags."
When I select a second category (by pressing CTRL + the Category Tag), I get the error message: " ElevateDB Error #700 An error was found in the statement at line 1 and column 324 (Expected end of expression but instead found Deleted).
If I respond "OK" I can then successfully " Search - Containing Any Selected Tags" and get all notes for those two categories.

Improve the category pane

In the reference module, the category pane is shown under "Tags".
In the upper part of this pane, the categories of the current reference are displayed in a text box.
We can adjust the bottom line to change the height of the text box. However, the changed height is not remembered, and the default value is too large.

1. Is it possible to remember the changed height of the text box?

Remove the centent of a certain field for all references

Is there any method to remove the cotent of a certain field for all references? For example, I want to remove all the contents in the "rich text" field.

Another minor problem is that the indicator "*" is still shown, after I have manually delete the content for the "rich text" field.

quick access different modules

Biblioscape has many modules, for example, references, categories, notes. These are three modules that I often use. Other modules are tasks and charts.

Now we can only access the module by clicking the corresponding folder in the left project pane. For example, the reference folder corresponds to reference module.

This is not easy to use. One reason is that some folders may be in the second level. We need to navigate down the folder tree to locate the folder.

Is it possible to add a drop-down list, so we can quickly access a module?

Hightlight categories in category pane

In the case of many categories, it is difficult to quickly locate the category in the right category pane.

Is it possible to highlight the categories with certain string? For example we can highlight all the categories with sub-string "mea".
Biblioscape seems to has a way to highlight the categories with certain staring character, for example 'k'. But this way of highlight is not robust. To highlight categories with certain string is more powerful and useful.

Problem withe search

I cannot find a way to clear the search parameter.

Actions:
With a reference folder selected
Use Search (either fast search or the search option at the top left of screen) eg John
All references with "John" appear for all article folders (that is fine)
However when I want to go back to the article folder the results of the search are still there.
- a little red square appears in the lower right corner of the green coloured srticel forlder icon.
- when I look at the properties of the folder I see a saved SQL Query for the search.

Direct import using Endnote to get readable charactrers

When I direct import using Endnote characters such as ' " & @ - are presented as a combination of unreadable characters.

When I import from Bibtex via the clip board the references are readable.

See image below of a reference imported using both methods and you can see the ' mark is replaced by the characters ’

How do I get Endnote to import readbale characters?

Thanks

Stephen
