Issue: Entering essays by different authors contained in an edited book.
Problem: I have to re-enter the book title, editor name, publisher, city, date, etc. for the book for every reference I create
Wish: I want to be able to create a new reference based on an existing reference. The new reference will contain all of the old reference's information, and I will change only the information that is different.
Attempted work arounds: I tried to copy an existing reference to a new folder, thinking that the copy could then be modified and copied back to the original folder. No such luck. Modifying the copy modified the original from which it was copied.

You can do it already. Click Create Duplicate in the toolbar in an open reference or press Shft+Ctrl+N (this is in v.7). In v.6, you can do it too, I think you have to display the toolbar first though...
