Possible? Disable highlighting?

I know that highlighting the words that a user has searched for can be helpful, but I'd really like to disable the feature on my pages. In addition to not liking how the highlighting looks, I have discovered that, when a field contains html link code (i.e. <a href="http://www.domain.com">Link Text</a>) that contains a word that a user searched for, the highlighting code is inserted to highlight the term and it breaks the link code, which results in the link not being rendered at all. Please help.

Thanks,
Ben

Re: Possible? Disable highlighting?

Pasted from email correspondence so others interested may know the answer:

Me:
Any chance you'll consider some of the following features?
1) The ability to define link text for BiblioWeb to display instead of the full URL in the URL field.
2) The ability to disable the highlighting feature completely.
3) The ability to select which fields allow the highlighting feature to be applied.

Paul:
Thank you for your suggestion. Those features will not be implemented. We want to make BiblioWeb as simple as possible. For advanced features, they may be added in future major rewrite or new product. - Paul

Another highlighting quirk

I just discovered that, when a user uses quotation marks to search for an exact phrase, the highlight feature doesn't work, probably due to the code in the URL being &hiwords=%22exact+phrase%22.
