Is there anyway that we can copy references from one database to the others? I like to make a new db that is a subset of an existing db. For now I have to create one by one (references) in the new KB from the existing KB, which is so tedious and time consuming.

I would suggest you keep
I would suggest you keep everyting in a singel database and organize things by folders. There is no copy and paste records feature between databases. But, you can export selected records as Biblioscape Tag File and import the file to another database using the import filter for Biblioscape Tag File.
