Biblioscape 7.16 release

Version 7.16 patch can be downloaded at Please quit Biblioscape first and unzip the downloaded file to your Biblioscape installation folder to replace the old files. Here is the list of bugs fixed and new features added in version 7.16.

  • Bug fix: In notes module, when save an opened note record, changes are not saved properly. Sometimes, text font is changed.
  • Bug fix: In references module, when typing author name to jump to that record in reference list, the preview pane does not reflect the selection change.
  • Bug fix: In references module, when using autocomplete, the changes made are not saved when moving to the next field.
  • Bug fix: In references module reference editor window, when browse to another record, the reference fields labels do not change according to reference type.

Preserving last state of categories tab

It would be a great help if the list on the categories tab (for notes, references etc.) remembered from the last state what sort order had been chosen and what was expanded and what closed. Is this something that could be added to future versions?

The next patch release will remember sort order between sessions. But not which node is opened or closed. Thanks.

Expand and collapse function on the categories tab?

Would it be possible to add the expand and collapse command in the categories tab for Notes, References, etc..? Adding the expand and collapse command to the folder menus has been a great addition. Very helpful!

synchronizing files between PC and flash drive.

Is it possible to use the synchronize function of a backup program like "Second Copy" which would synchronize the most recent files between the copy of a bibliography on my PC with the copy of those same files of my bibliography on my flash drive-- or would this throw off the various indexes?

The more I use the newest version of Biblioscape, the more I appreciate it!
