With B7.03 got this trying to rebuild from Biblioscape. Rebuild was working fine earlier with B7.02. Trying to close Biblioscape after that I got "List index out of bounds (0) and then a crash.
After Biblioscape restart got the warning about the exclusive access (to my knowledge nothing else was running).
Rebuilding from outside of Biblioscape found no errors.
Opened Biblioscape, went to Deleted folder, clicked on Delete Selected in the toolbar and got an access violation 0061C5DB but three records from that folder got deleted.
Tried rebuilding from within Biblioscape and it worked this time.
---
Clicked charts and got an access violation 0000000 and Biblioscape task window open with black background.
Tried closing the task window and got Table_chart_main: Cannot perform this operation on a closed dataset.
Had to kill Biblioscape again.Another rebuild - no errors.
---
What other information could be helpful for debugging in such cases? The offending database? These are test databases I am playing with now because I am not yet confident to transfer my work into B7 permanently.
Please zip all the files
Please zip all the files under your databaes folder and email me the zip. I will try to reproduce the problem. Thanks. support@biblioscape.com
DBISAM Engine error
I am having a problem in converting a 7.1 database to version 7.31. I get an error that says DBISAM engine error. I am running Microsoft XP. Right now I can only load the database template.
Please zip all the file
Please zip all the file under your 7.1 database folder and email me the zip. Do you have anti-virus software running. I have Kaspersky software running. Sometimes it gave me problem when converting a database from an earlier version. I have to turn off the security software temporarily to do the conversion. Thanks.
Please zip all the file
I turned off my anti-virus software and received the same error. I did zip the files and emailed them to you.
I found database corruption
I found database corruption in your v6 database. I opened it with Biblioscape 6 and went to "File | Database | Rebuild Database" to fix the corruption and then opened it with Biblioscape 7. I have emailed you the database. Thanks.
Thank You - My database is okay now
Paul,
Thank You - My database is okay now. Should I always rebuild the database prior to trying to convert it? Thanks so much for your prompt and thorough actions.
If you have applied critical
If you have applied critical update version 6.7, it is unlikely your database will become corrupted.
