Folders vs. categories in 7.x; and viewing all references

I've been working to understand Categories in 7.x vs. Folders in 6.x, and slowly making progress. Two questions:

1. Is there an online overview that puts these in perspective, providing an overview of how these might be used in 6.x vs 7.x?

2. In v 6.x, I frequently used the "View all references" feature, since sometimes it's the easiest way to get to a specific reference (e.g. if I can't remember where it's filed--it *can* be easier than searching). But now in 7.02, I don't see how to access all records at once. Maybe it's there someplace and I've missed it? Some guidance would be helpful. Thanks in advance!

Now I see it!!

OK--I spoke too soon on Q#2.  I now see it under References|Retrieve All    There's always a learning curve!!

I'm still working on Q#1...   Can someone offer a perspective?  Cheers!!

Continuing along this vein,

Continuing along this vein, while viewing "all references" in 6.x, I would sometimes copy (or move) multiple records to a different folder. I would do this by selecting the records to copy/move (Ctl-click on each one individually) and then Right-click on one of the records to bring up the Folder Copy/Move menu. I tried using an analogous approach to copy into categories (ie. into one of the "Old Folders" categories imported from my 6.x database). It looked looked like it worked, meaning the individual records now listed them as belonging to multiple categories, including the newly assigned one, but these same records were not displayed when clicking on the category itself. I'm confused. Suggestions?

Dave, you have to do double

Dave, you have to do double click on a category. Some users suggested to run the search after a single click, while some others prefer double click. I think we should put up a vote page for this.
