Installing BS7.02 seems to overwrite changes made to reference types etc.

I've just installed 7.02 by unzipping the download file into the installation folder as described here http://support.biblioscape.com/ - stupidly enough, without making a backup first. Now it seems that all changes I've made to the reference types are lost. New reference types I've created are still in the reftypes folder but don't show up in the pick up menu of the record edit window. Likewise, output styles I've created don't show up in the pickup list or the separate dialog window.

If installing the 7.02 indeed overwrites user adapted files, a warning and instruction on the download site on which files should be saved and copied back after installation would have been appreciated.

BS 7 overwrites changes

Similar problem here - the changes I made to reference types etc. in version 6 have disappeared after I downloaded version 7 and the latest patch.

Biblioscape 7 cannot use

Biblioscape 7 cannot use version 6 reftypes files because there are new fields added in version 7.

7.02 doesn't include any

7.02 doesn't include any reference type file. It has some reports files. The old reports files don't work.

But then, Paul, I don't

But then, Paul, I don't understand why everything has been reverted to default values: windows font (Trebuchet again), citation tags, reference types, output styles etc.

It seems as if BS7, which is installed in \Biblioscape 7\, uses the config of BS 6, which is installed in \Biblioscape 6\. Where are all these configurations stored?

Is it possible you installed

Is it possible you installed bsp7.exe instead of bsp7_patch.zip?

Mea culpa! You're right,

Mea culpa! You're right, Paul. Is there a way to restore the output style I've created? I can't find the bff-file. Or do I have to start afresh?

Sorry, Lars. Since the files

Sorry, Lars. Since the files are already deleted. I don't know a way to get them back.
