I think it would be very useful to implement word count into the Notes module. Best if it would have options to count words in individual notes, note selections, child notes in the hierarchy and for the notes in a category.

I see. Great. Thanks. ………….Even though knowing words in one note is not a big problem, really. The user can always cut and paste into another application. But if the user assembles a paper from many notes in a category, getting the total word count is both important and difficult…

In future release, we will make it easy to export selected notes to a single RTF file and open it in Word. User can then get word count of combined notes easily in Word.

That would be an improvement. But it seems to me that in the situation with multiple notes having a flexible built-in search would be much more convenient and powerful. When writing a paper to fit into a word limit the user would be able to add/remove notes and immediately see the implications on word/page/etc count. Exporting different sets of notes to get the same result would be much slower and more confusing and more error-prone.
Export may be the wrong
Export may be the wrong word. It will be a one button click and the combined rtf file will then be automatically opened. Plus the closing of that document, there will only be two clicks.
