Problem with converting form BS6 to BS7!

when I convert my database form BS6 to BS7, I got some error message like this:

"DBISAM Engine Error # 10038 Invalid or duplicate field name 'Year_pub' specified for the table catalog"

How should I do?

converting database 6 to 7

I've tried a few times converting my core database- and keep getting

DBISAM Engine Error # 11013 Access denied to table 'C:\documents...\Temp\28520.DAT'

Any suggestions

Is BiblioWeb running?

Is BiblioWeb running? Biblioscape needs exclusive access to the database when doing the conversion.

no, I've never run any other biblio.. applications on this machine, specifically I have not run biblioweb.
The temp .... .DAT file that comes up does change- last time it was 36760, not sure if that is significant, but it is still error 11013.
It also seems to misbehave if I say I don't want to convert the database- as it won't then even re-open the sample database

I don't know why you got this message. The file mentioned is not in Biblioscape database. Please zip all the files under your Biblioscape database directory (the old v6 database before upgrade attempt). I will do the conversion for you and see if I can reproduce the problem. Thanks.

Another problem converting form V6 to V7

I'm getting the error message "DBSIAM Engine Error #12292

Invalid field 'Categories' specified for the index Secx_Categories in the table 'bib'

I have the V7 patch installed, and rebuilt the V6 DB (no errors).

This problem is caused by a bug when secondary index for field Categories exists in the old database. The fix will be version 7.11 release. Thanks.

It is possible your database has been converted to version 7 before. You can zip all files under your database folder and email me the zip.

Biblioscape 7.0 database

Biblioscape 7.0 database conversion routine has a bug. It causes crash when there is a module with zero record. Version 7.01 has this bug fixed. Please go to http://support.biblioscape.com/node/646. I don't know what is "Helend" email address.

Bangyou, I found your email. Sorry for answering it late. The problem is caused by a bug http://support.biblioscape.com/node/646. If you have the old 6.x database, you can download 7.01 and do the conversion. If not, please email me the compressed database in zip format. I cannot open rar file. Thanks.

another conversion issue

For a v-6 database that has not previously been converted to v-7, I get the following error message when I open the new v-7 beta and it tries to convert my database:

DBISAM Engine Error # 11949 SQL error -- Column Fld_user not found

The program then hangs up.
