Dear Paul
BS7 is becoming a lovely and powerful bibliographic database. I just love all the implementations in BS7. It load fast, allow me to work in all the details in my projects, I can use GTD ... It is just GREAT!
The colored flag system is one of my favorites because It is so much easier to find the info when I need. I noticed that the Orange Flag is missing. Could you please add the orange color in the next release? I do use the orange color to tag the @Read/Review in my GTD system.
Additionally, do you think that it would be possible to implement the search the whole database by flags? I am setting up BS7 to work with me, I mean, I defined the set of flags as Activities (Read, MindMap, Summarize, Analyse, etc...) and I am using the colored flags for that. Hence, a global search would be a plus for my workflow.
What do you think?
We have to limit the colored
We have to limit the colored flags to 8. So it is consistent across all modules. Using colored categories, you can flag items from any module by up to 4 different colors. If we add more than 8 basic colors, the number of combinations will be too many. If you want to search the whole database by flags, the best way to impelment is using colored categories. You assing a color to a category. Then drag and drop items into that category. Those items will be colored automatically. If you want to see all items tagged by that category across all modules, go to categories module, and select that category. All items tagged by it will be shown on the "Categories" tab on the search pane.
