EndNote 9 filter

A couple of my colleagues recently upgraded to ISI EndNote v.9.0.1 (Windows version). With this upgrade - that contains the switch to Unicode format for .enl archives - the import filter included in Biblioscape 6.6 doesn’t wok properly: all the accentuated vowels (á, à, â…) and all the non-English characters (ñ, ç, æ, ü…) are misinterpreted and replaced for strange strings (“é”, “ó”…).

For example:

I know it’s possible to replace each appearance of a particular string with the appropriate character, but I think this in awkward work. Is it possible to you to add a new filter for the EndNote 9 bibliographies?

Thanks in advance!

EndNote unicode database import

Biblioscape does not support unicode yet. You can open the EndNote export file in a text editor that supports unicode like Word. Then save it as a plain text file and import that file to Biblioscape.

Dont forget to save the file

Dont forget to save the file as not only Plain Text but also as Windows Default. If you save it again as unicode it will not import correctly.
