Unable to rebuild database

I have 3 databases running on 6.5. Two of them work, the third doesn't. When I open the third, I get these two error messages:

DBISAM Engine Error #8961 Header information corrupt in the table 'link_rec'

Table_note_main: Field 'Title' not found

Going into C:\Program Files\Biblioscape 6, choosing, Tools, and Rebuild, I chose Rebuild Database. I get this error message:

DBISAM Engine Error #12035 The table 'au_x' is not the correct version

Choosing Rebuild Global, I get this error message:

DBISAM Engine Error #11013 Access denied to table 'C:\Program Files\Biblioscape6\global\ini.DAT

Any suggestions?

Thanks.

Please email the zipped database

Please zip all the files under your database folder and email me the zip.

Thanks, Paul

I'll do that--thanks. It will be a few days until I can get it done.

Many thanks

Paul, I really appreciate all your help with this problem. Even though the database could not be repaired or rebuilt, you saved all my data. I unzipped the zip file you sent and it opened right up in the new database.

Biblioscape users should know that support goes the extra mile in helping out their users.

Best,

Sedgwick

What caused the corruption?

I have the same problem with my DB, but at this moment it's just a playground, therefore no need to "save" it.

Paul, have you figured out what caused the problem?

 Thank you.

Most corriptions happen in

Most corriptions happen in the index and can be easily fixed by restart Biblioscape and go to "File | Database | Rebuild Database". Or run "...\Biblioscape x\Tools\Rebuild.exe" after quiting Biblioscape. The case reported by Sedgwick is extremely rare. I could not figure out the cause.
