Ok, so I've formatted Word docs before, just as an experiment, with no problem. Now, in the first real use of BiblioScape (I recently switched from RefMan), I click tie papformat button in Word and I get the Warning:
"Manuscript" style (format filter) for "Chicago 15th A (notes)" not defined. Click "Yes" button to proceed using the default filter, click "No" button to quit at here, Click "Yes to All" button to always use default filter without asking."
What does this mean? I have used Chicago (notes) before with no problems. I also get the same message when I use Chicago (author-date).
If I click "Yes," it does format my document, but I'm not sure what it means by "default filter" and how that may be changing the output that is generated. Also, I'm just really confused by why, when I actually need it to work for real, it is having this problem.
Any assistance would be much appreciated.
In an output style, each
In an output style, each reference type is formatted differently. In your case, there is a reference of type "Manuscript". In the style you used, "Manuscript" is not included in that style. So Biblisocape will use another sub-style to do the formatting.
Doh!
Ok, that makes sense. I thought "manuscript" refered to the document I was trying to format. Thanks for the quick reply.
BTW, even with that minor confusion yesterday, BiblioScape is still way better than RefMan. Keep up the good work!
