Hi Paul,
Something strange in B7A2. Here are the steps:
1. I open a new refence
2. Reference type: journal article
3. I type the Author name: Arbois de Jubainville, Henri d'
4. I type the Title: Fragments d'un dictionnaire des noms propres francs de personnes à l'époque mérovingienne
5. I type the year: 1899.
6. I try to move to the next field but I receive the following error message: "DBISAM Engine error # 11949 SQL error - End of SELECT statement expected, instead found 'Arbois'
I've already rebuilt the database, I've tried to insert the information in different ways but the problem persists.
Thanks, Milene
Again
The same bug happened when I've tried to create a new "Newspaper Article" reference. Same data and same error message as previous message.
Milene
Yes, I can reproduce it.
Yes, I can reproduce it. This bug will be fixed in alpha 3 release which will be available tomorrow. Thanks.
Bug creating Electronic Source reference
The bug now happens when I try to create a new Electronic Source reference:
1. I type Author: Oexle, Otto Gerhard
2. I type Title: Die Abshaffung des Feudalismus ist gescheitert: Susan Reynolds' Versuch, das Vasallentum zu leugnen und die Mittelalterforschung umzukrempeln
3. I type Year: 1995
4. Then I move with the Tab button to the next field (Last Update Date) and the same bug happens: "DBISAM Engine error # 11949 SQL error - End of SELECT statement expected, instead found 'Versuch'.
Again I have to 'cheat' Biblioscape and insert data out of the sequence (first year, then language, etc and only then Author and Title).
Milene
Milene, which field you were
Milene, which field you were moving to when you received this error message?
1. After typing the year
1. After typing the year (1899), I press the tab button and the cursor should move to the field "Date freeform" (this is the sequence in the reference type "Journal Article").
2. Then comes the message I wrote in the previous post.
3. The same problem happens if I try to move to another field with the mouse (for instance from "year" to "notes").
The crazy thing about it is that I created other references successfully (Book, Book edited, Book Section, Journal article). The bug occurs only with the information of this specific journal article, although I have already tried to input data in different ways.
Thanks, Milene
I think the bug occurs only
I think the bug occurs only when there is single quote in author name or title. We will try to get this bug fixed in the next alpha release. Thanks.
Hi Paul,I "cheated"
Hi Paul,
I "cheated" Biblioscape and created the reference. Steps:
Instead of following the normal field sequence, I first typed year, Journal title, availability, location, language and just then with the mouse I came back to author and title. It works. When I try to insert the same data following the field sequence the bug occurs.
Hope you find out what is the problem about it.
Thanks, Milene
