Biblioscape 7 alpha 2
Firstly I have found the Folder pick list and item display at the bottom of the individual item window. It simplifies the working with items in folders considerably - they are great.
Links
I really like the new links section. Sad that as well as the different relationship wording it is not possible to allocate differing descriptive text at each end of the link via Biblioscape, I note that space in that tab is somewhat restricted though. Great that the links are directly available between all modules.
In the Topic Maps tab of the links window the 'Link type' and 'Link theme' drop down lists are not populated. They will accept user input and successfully create a link with that input although any wording is not retained for future selection in that drop down list.
1. Are these link types intended to be user created?
2. Should any user created link types remain available in the drop down lists?
Also I cannot get the 'Link from Role' and 'Link to Role' optional text boxes to become available for input in any of the scenarios I have so far tried. Are they available yet or am I not doing something?

I don't think I understand this. Can you elaborate?
The link type, link theme, link from role, link to role are themselfs a categories entry. Actually, they should be called topic. For example, if you create a new category of the type "Topic Type". Next time, you will see that in the type drop down list. This part of categories module is for advanced users who need knowledge management. It will be in the Pro edition only. It is based on the theory topic maps. If you are interested, please go to google and search for "topic maps".
Thanks,
Paul

In the Cross Links tab, there are three points of input.
1. Link relationship:
2. Reverse link relationship:
3. Description
I mean the Description text box. by "descriptive text".
Sorry for the muddy description.

Ian, the field length for description is 150. You can use dbsys (http://www.biblioexpress.com/dbsys.zip) to change it to 250 or to type Memo (practically unlimited).
