In addition to not being able to format, now I cannot save changes I make in output styles, so I think I need to re-install. Do I need to uninstall Biblioscape first or can I re-install over the old copy? If I uninstall, will it remove my databases?

It won't remove your database as long as you are not using the sample database that is installed with Biblioscape. But you should backup your database first. If you have custom made import fitlers or styles, export them as well. First, run Windows unintaller. Then manually delete the folder "Biblioscape x".
