Installing BiblioWeb

Paul,
I have a registered Professional version 9.0.9.4. When I try to inistall BiblioWeb I am brought to the "BiblioWeb 9 Beta" site instead of the screen shown on the manual for "Setting up BiblioWeb server". It asks me for an activation code? What am I doing wrong?

problem with Biblioweb

Hi Bob and Paul,

I had exactly the same problem as Bob: I also have Biblioscape professional and when I run Biblioweb as Paul, after having created the admin account and all this, I am also under the Biblio 9 beta web page and I cannot clearly manage my project: it seems I see only the references in the "References" floder and I have no way apparently to manage it.

Is there a solution to this?

Sincerely,

Frédéric Gosselin

It is possible the login you created is not the first one, so admin privilege is not shown. Please zip all the files under your database folder and email me the zip. I will check which account is the first one created. Paul

How did you install BiblioWeb? Please make sure you have the Pro edition registered. Pleaes run Biblioscape 9 on the same machine and click the "About" button to check which edition is installed. Thanks, Paul

Pro Edition installed

I did check "about" and it says "Profession edition licensed to: Bob"
I installed Biblioweb by going to the directory where I have BiblioWeb under the Biblioscape directory and I double clicked on BiblioWeb.exe.
I had installed a trial version of BiblioWeb Beta when it first came out but I think that was before Biblioscape 9 was published.

First, please click the "Update" button to get your installation updated to 9.0.9.5. To go to the setup page, you need to be the first user who will be give the admin privilege. If you still remember the login and password used when you first tested it, you can login and click the "Admin" link. When you start BiblioWeb in your browser, what is the first page? Can you save it as a html file and email it to me? Thanks, Paul
