Hi!
I am new to Biblioscape, but have previous experience with other reference database programs. Now I would like to create a database of patents within my field of interest using my newly acquired Biblioscape. I want to be able to download the found patent(s) while browsing the internet, instead of having to enter the information manually. Is this possible to do in a relatively simple way? Patent databases accessible on the internet normally do not have direct download buttons to a reference database program, although they have the same basic structure as a database for scientific articles with fields for title, author, abstract, full text etc including a link to a pdf document.
The ones I use most often are the largest ones:
European Patent Office: http://ep.espacenet.com/
US patent and trademark office: http://www.uspto.gov/patft/index.html
There must be others who want to manage a large amount of patent documents. Any tips on how to get started? There is a import filter for patents, but how do I use it? Remember, I am very new to Biblioscape, but learns quickly! How do I download from an Internet page??
I'd appreciate any help you can offer.
Best regards,
Sofia
