With DBSYS, did you go to

With DBSYS, did you go to "Utilities | Restructure..." and then change the field length?  Thanks, Paul

Hi Paul No i didn't but now

Hi Paul

No i didn't but now i did. First i had problem because after select a database, select a field and change the size and then save, a message like this appeared:

DBISAM Engine Error #11013 Access denied to C:\Documents and Settings\Desktop\Clinical Evaluation DB\bib.DAT
After some tests i realized that the database i was trying to change was opened. When i closed it and tried it again the restructure was succsesfull.
Thank you very much.
P.S i got my serial number and registered MY Biblioscape.

Hi Paul

I just realised that Biblioscape didn't kept changes i did on the fields length.
Can i change all fields length or just some spesific field can be changed...? and if so which are that fields?

Mia

Mia, you can only change the

Mia, you can only change the String fields. You have to change it one by one with DBSYS. In Biblioscape 9, this can be done inside Biblioscape.

Biblioscape 9

Hi Paul

Thank you for your quick answer.
I have bought biblioscape 8 few days before how could i change to biblioscape 9. Which are the charges and which steps i have to follow. Is it difficult or time consuming because i have just a month to finish my job. I have to create a new reference type, to change advanced search fields according to this reference type and have to change some more fields to memo type and then import about 100 references from a file. If all this are easier with biblioscape 9 than with 8 so maybe i had to change to Bib 9 if it is possible.
Waiting for you suggestions..

Thanks
Mia

If all the changes have been

If all the changes have been done in version 8, you don't have to do it again. When you open your version 8 database using Biblisocape 9 (backup version 8 database first!), Biblioscape 9 will convert it to version 9 format. All the changes you made will be maintained. Biblioscape 9 didn't add any new fields for the reference table, so you can simply copy the reftypes folder from version 8 to version 9. So no extra work is needed. Paul
