Copy/Paste in Reference Fields

Have you tried copying and pasting when entering the data into the reference fields? More often than not, the software behaves not as it should. Text gets deleted or replaced with random snippets of unwanted text. This is especially common when copying/pasting from Biblioscape to Biblioscape but not limited to this case.

Can this be sorted out?

Before paste, please make

Before paste, please make sure no text is selected. You can then press "Ctrl+V" to paste. Please let me know a detailed step by step description to reproduce the bug. Thanks.

steps

OK, here is the sequence of steps leading to the bug:

  1. Select a piece of text, e.g. in a web page using Ctrl C
  2. Choose New Reference in Biblioscape, e.g. Thesis type
  3. Begin typing the Author name. Make sure that the name is already in the database so that Biblioscape auto-completes it. Accept the suggested reading by pressing Enter.
  4. Go to Title line and press Ctrl V

Instead of the copied text, Biblioscape pastes a truncated name of the author. I guess this is the part the auto-complete added to the first typed letters.

Hope this helps and will be fixed.

Thank you. The problem is

OK, thanks.
