I'm trying to get a look at the whole outline for the book we are working on so I tried to "compile to RTF" but each time I try BS stops midway and up pops the message "Can not open clipboard" then it stops and nothing happens.
What am I doing wrong?
Thank you.
Please zip all the files
Please zip all the files under your database folder and email me the zip. I need to have the database to solve this problem. Thanks, Paul
Works sometime
Today I tried it again. It works sometimes after several attempts but not always. Not reliable. So I will be sending it to you soon.
same problem
Same problem here.
Shoot temorary and all shoot functions under shoot submenue works fine.
"Shoot Temp suppress Author" and "shoot temp suppress year" generate "Cannot open clipboard.
This problem is realy random.
I tried to move a reference to a note and got "Cannot open clipboard".
Then I tried to save the note and tried to move the same reference again; then it worked ok.
Compile to RTF also gives "Cannot open clipboard".
When I close the program I get this system info:

Is it possible to run biblioscape in debug mode or can I inspect any Windows Vista error log?
I'm using Vista

I received your database.
I received your database. But I cannot reproduce the bug.
Paul -- this "Cannot open
Paul -- this "Cannot open clipboard" bug is getting really serious. As others have said, it isn't very reproducible, and sometimes it's worse than others. Right now I'm trying to move a selection of references to a new folder, and Biblioscape is almost unusable because the message pops up so often. I appreciate that you haven't been able to reproduce the bug, but many users are experiencing it, so something is clearly wrong, and presumably it's system-specific. Is there any way you could provide some of us with a debugging version of Biblioscape that has traps in it so that we can trace for you where the call is that is causing the trouble?
Just to be clear, the error dialog always has at the top: "[filename].bsl - Biblioscape" and the message is simply "Cannot open clipboard".
Cannot open clipboard
I have the same problem; the "cannot open clipboard" occurs frequently, but not consistently, sometimes even when saving new references. It is annoying.
There is no debug version
There is no debug version that I can send you. Biblioscape 9 will be available for testing soon. I think this bug will be gone in version 9.
Thanks, Paul. Looking
Thanks, Paul. Looking forward to Version 9!
