User defined view

I would like the custom fields to be displayed in the user defined view when I open a reference. Is this possible? I can see the custom fields in the database view but not when I open the reference.

To have a custom field shown

To have a custom field shown in the User Defined tab, go to "Tools | Options". On the "Reference Types" tab, enter a field label for the custom field for a specific reference type. The next time you open a reference of that type, the field label will show in the "User Defined" tab.
