Request for addition of folder name in reference record headers

Hi Paul,

Can you possibly add the folder name in header when a reference record is open? (That is in addition to the info about record created and modified, the reference ID, and reference type.) There is room after the reference type show the folder name.

The difficulty I have encountered several times is that sometimes when I am manually creating a new record, it isn't created in the folder I think is active. This has happened to me a number of times. Just now the new record was placed in a bizarre location -- a reference folder I haven't accessed for many months.

The problem occurs when reference search results are displayed in the center pane. Then, even is a folder in the left pane has the active highlight color, the new record is likely to placed somewhere else. I have just experimented and verified that this is the case -- if a search result is displayed, the new record will be placed in the same record as whatever record happens to be highlighted in those search results. The user needs some clear verification of where the new record will acutally be stored, but that information is not presently given. One way is to put the folder information in the record header, the other would be to prompt the user "Create new record in folder 'XXXXX'? Yes/No"

(Part of the problem here is that Biblioscape doesn't clearly identify the nature of what is displayed in the center pane -- i.e. whether it is a seach result or is the contents of the folder highlighted in the left pane. Yes, that information is shown in the lower left corner of the screen, but that is an unobvious location, especially when there is a highlighted folder name in the left pane, more at working eye level.)

In the next release, we will

In the next release, we will un-hilight the folder selection when displaying the search result. Thank you for your suggestion. Paul
