What about ISBNdb connection over Z39.50?

Dear Paul, and dear all,

I just came into this fantastic dBase of ISBN: http://isbndb.com (I created an account because of an iPad app...)
I was wondering if there could be ancy chance to integrate this dBase in Biblioscape, and so I did a Forum search. The only result I got (searching for "isbndb") was this: http://support.biblioscape.com/node/120 , a 4-years-ago topic...
Are there any news?
I think that this would be a killer-connection...

Let me know if there is any chance to have it in future version OR to integrate it as a Z39.50 connection...
Thanks!

In Biblioscape 9.0.5.6, you

In Biblioscape 9.0.5.6, you can click the QuickAdd button in the references module and enter an isbn number. If Biblioscape found a hit, it will prompt you. Click the "Open" button to capture the record into Biblioscape.

I also created an import filter for isbn.nu at http://www.biblioscape.com/imp_filters/isbn_nu.bft. Click the "Filters" button in Biblioscape. Click the actions button and select "Import" to select the *.bft file. Then, you can click the "Internet" item in the project tree and go to the "isbn.nu" site. Run a search and click on the record. Now click the "Capture Refernces" button and make sure the import filter "isbn.nu" is selected.

QuickAdd problem

QuickAdd creates error message "Table_bib_main: Field 'Categories' not found".
isbn.nu works fine.
Thanks, Volker

Field 'Categories' not found

Same error message (Table_bib_main: Field 'Categories' not found) with online search / Web / Google Scholar.
Thanks, Volker

Please get 9.0.5.8 and try

Please get 9.0.5.8 and try again. When google scholar search doesn't work, I still cannot get the Field 'Categories' not found error. I got Biblioscape cannot find a matching record prompt. If you still get this error message, can you send me the zipped database? Thanks, Paul

BS 9.0.5.8 works like a charm, thank you.
However, quick add imports a google books url which I'd rather want to have as "link to web", not as a regular url.
Thanks, Volker

ISBN import

Dear Paul,
is there an update on importing references by providing their ISBN?
Also, I'd like to suggest to create a browser plug-in like Citavi's "Picker" that allows to very easily import books from library catalogs via their ISBN listing.
Thanks, Volker

browser plug-in like Citavi's "Picker"

I think Citiavi plugin is very nice when it comes to doing citations. Bib9 does not work when I try to qoute direct in a PDF file or attachment file and Citavi is more general and works outside citavi.
