importing problems

I'm very sorry, i keep reporting importing problems - but every time I think I finally got it working, it doesn't.

I created my own import filter for a German library database. It worked several times while I was making the filter (i did that step by step, always adding one field, checking whether it works and then adding more information). At some stage, it did not work any more, and removing the last added field or even most of the fields, changing it back to a really simple author-title filter did not change that - 0 references imported.

About the same happened to data from an excel spreadsheet I had imported succesfully priorily. Suddenly, without changing anything in the headlines of the spreadsheet, I could not import any references any more. It works about 5% of the times that I try - I guess that implies I got the principle, but the success rate is taking my time and making me worry, especially because I don't see the logics behind it.

By the way, I also have troubles importing data with the existing filters (e.g. Library of Congress, Pica...) - either 0 references imported or imported incorrectly (most data missing)

Thanks

Johanna

When importing delimited

When importing delimited file, if one record has an non-integer in the Year field, the while file won't be imported. We will improve this in version 7. For 0 record import problem using an import filter, it is likely the record separator is not set correctly. If you export your import filter and email it to me along with a test file, I will check it out.
