TempCit link relationship on new note creation

I have a problem with not knowing what to do with the TempCit link relationships that are created when a note is created from within the Reference Module by opening a specific reference and then clicking on the New Note button on the Taking Notes tab. This is my preferred method for creating a note because it saves me from having to manually establish the link relationship with a reference individually - I can just fill out the form after clicking the "New Note" button within the reference, including specifying page numbers and whatnot for the note, and the link is established there for the new note. The problem is, I find a duplicate note with several asterisks placed in the title (i.e. ***[M***illet, instead of [Millet,) with a link relationship defined as TempCit. Searching for duplicates does not seem to find these as duplicates. Creating notes the other way from the Notes Module first and then specifying the link to the reference seems unnecessary since the other way I have described exists and looks like it should just create the named link to the selected reference without any problems.

So the question is, am I doing something wrong, or am I missing a concept here in my note creation scheme? Is something going on with the database that needs to be fixed? I can supply a screen capture of what I'm doing if that is any help.

I have read the other thread about TempCit that relates to Temporary Citations that bibioscape will format when the manuscript is being formatted in the word processor, but that doesn't seem to apply here since formatting is not taking place. This is link creation for notes. So, what am I missing? Or is this WAD (working as designed)?

P.S. I can't find anything about this in the documentation. Am I the only person to create notes in this way?

Those links are

Those links are automatically created. You can chose to not display them by going to the "Tools | Options" window. On the "Others" tab, check off the box "Display temporary citation links between notes and refs".

Rob, can you post

Rob, can you post screenshots to help me understand the problem better. Thanks, Paul
