Abstract field becomes grey when I add a category tag.

Best seen visually.

BEFORE:

Notice that the abstract is in a nice black font.

AFTER:

Note that it has added two fields listing the category tag.
Also note that the second category field, and everything after it (including the abstract) is now "grayed out"... That makes it harder to read - especially when the writing is small and when you are sorting through a LOT of them - which I do.

I don't care if it lists the category twice, but this gray font for the abstract is not good.

Which version of Biblioscape

Which version of Biblioscape are you using? This bug has been fixed in the latest Biblioscape 8 patch release. Thanks, Paul

I have 8.04

Is this not the most current one?

If you go to the "Help |

If you go to the "Help | About" window, what is the build date inside the (...). I cannot reproduce the problem you described.

20091027

Does that help?

And if I download the latest patch, do I have to run the install program again, or just replace my existing files by copying the new download over top of them (on a windows 7 box)?

To install the patch for

To install the patch for version 7 and 8 is easy, you just need to unzip the patch to the folder where Biblioscape is installed. It will overwrite the old files. Please let me know if the patch helps. I cannot reproduce the problem described.

Ok, got the latest version

Hasn't changed a thing. Should I send you my database?

There is no need to send me

There is no need to send me the database. Does this problem happen to every record? If someone else is reading this, please see if you can reproduce the problem. Thanks, Paul

Yes, every record.

As I go through and add tags, it is systematically greying out all of the abstracts. This is the case on both my home laptop and my office machine.
