A case where a category tick mark doesn't stick

Here is a case where after the user assigns a category to an open record, the assignment disappears without warning.

1. Open a reference record.

2. Open the Categories pane on the right side.

3. Click any category name (and write down the name); the tick mark appears and the category name appears in the sub-pane where assigned categories are listed.

4. Click the Links tab.

5. Click the Categories tab. Both the tick mark and the assignment listing for the category you assigned are gone!

6. Save and reopen the record. The category is not assigned. THIS LOSS OF AN ASSIGNMENT CAN HAPPEN WITHOUT THE USER BEING AWARE THAT THE ASSIGNMENT WAS LOST. In fact, all new assignments can be lost in this way (although old assignments are not affected). This should be fixed without delay.

This exception to the above may help track down the bug.

1. Execute steps 1 - 4 above.

2. Save and close the record without returning to the Categories tab.

3. Reopen the record, and the category is still assigned.
