Is there a way to "find" text with an open reference record or perhaps within its individual fields? Ctrl-F brings up a find window, but it gives a "text not found" result box with title "database.bsl - Biblioscape", even for text that does exist.
For an open reference record, the is not Edit|Find command, which is why I tried Ctrl-F (which would be more convenient anyway). Funny that the command brings up the find dialog box but gives no result.
The Edit|Find command is available only at the higher level, when the reference list is displayed. It gives a result, which is the whole field in the highlighted record that matches the search term; however, that result is jammed in a small editing box that is difficult to use when the field contains a lot of text.
Is there any chance that the Ctrl-F command can be fully accommodated for use in an open record or the active field of an open record?

Thank you. Can it also be made accessible with Ctrl-F?

Yes, but as stated above the Find box that is generated does not return any results at all.
The Find box in a singel
The Find box in a singel record window is assigned to a singel field. In the next major release, we will find a better way to solve this problem. Thanks, Paul

Thank you for that.
But just to clarify ... one of your earlier replies refers to using Ctrl-F in the List Pane, but the trouble I was reporting is when using Ctrl-F in an open record, as for finding a word in the abstract or memo field, for example.
The Ctrl+F only works for
The Ctrl+F only works for the "Document" field in the record view. We will fix this problem in the next major release. Thanks, Paul
