Odd behaviour when dragging references to tags

Trying to tag a reference by dragging it to tag in the righthand pane resulted in odd behavior (see below), and when I tried to correct that result the program crashed. A second, perhaps related problem is described after that one.

(1) I did a search by author name, producing several references. One was tagged with a category that is coded red. I dragged a second reference by the same author to that same category, in the righthand pane. The red mark (in the list pane) on the previously tagged file disappeared when I did this. When I dragged that reference to the category to remark it, the program crashed. Before the crash I got the message "cannot open clipboard," which has popped up a number of times recently, and always in contexts that have nothing to do with the clipboard. Other cases have been while saving/closing a reference after having changed the reference type.

The crash information was:

Exception EAccessViolation in module Biblioscape.exe at 0003A680.
Access violation at address 0043A680 in module 'Biblioscape.exe'.
Read of address 00000000.

(2) A possibly related problem is this. If I have a reference opened up and the category pane showing and: (A) click a category to tag the reference, and then (B) create a new category; after the new category is created the check mark disappears for the category I had just marked. However, that first category still shows in the list at the bottom of the panel. (So is the reference still tagged with that category or not? Very confusing.) This should not happen. If I click that category again, so that it has a check mark, then the bottom list shows that tag twice. So, some rough edges here that should be cleaned up.

The two problems may be related, since both involve lost flags of one sort or another that concern categories.

1. Please restart

1. Please restart Biblioscape and go to "File | Database | Rebuild Database" and see if this can fix the problem.

2. I can reproduce this bug. It will be fixed in the next patch release.

Thanks,
