Categories: Different "writings" in my database

Hi,

I have recently tagged a large amount of records in my database, and right now I am trying to view records to category and hardly anything shows up. Upon close inspection, I have found that Biblioscape has attached category names to my references in two different writings:

Category name
_Category name _

Of course, the two lines are not the same, although I am not aware of any difference in the creation of these names. The consequence is that they are not recognized as being the same. If I change the "_Category name _" records to "Category name", it works fine. But, of course, I do not want to apply that to my whole database by hand.

Did anyone else experience something comparable? Is there any way to get rid of that automatically?

I would be glad for any help!

Best regards
Kristian

Kristian, which version of

Kristian, which version of Biblioscape are you using? This problem is fixed in latter releases. Paul

Hi Paul, right now I am

Hi Paul,

right now I am using Biblioscape 8.03, so at least I don't get any new records with faulty category entries. Anyway, as I have done most of the assignments using an earlier release, I now have the "messed-up" categories in my database. Can I get rid of that somehow?

Thanks!
Kristian

You can first retriev all

You can first retriev all references, then go to "Edit | Replace". Limit the changes to the Categories field and replace "; _" to "; ". Replace "_; " to "; ".
