My hard disk failed recently. I had my databases backed up but not the programme itself. I have just installed biblioexpress version 3 on the new one but in the absence of version 2 cannot perform the operations decribed in the FAQ before importing them into version 3. I have a massive bibliography of references which I need for a paper for a forthcoming conference. Can anyone suggest a way of recuperating my data?

File extensions in biblioexpress 2
Thank you
I have successfully download and run biblioexpress 2. It looks for files with .bxp extension. Mine are .bxl.
If your database has *.bxl
If your database has *.bxl extension, it is in version 3 format. You can download BiblioExpress version 3.x at the download page.
File extensions and biblioexpress versions
I downloaded biblioexpress 3. When I tried to open a recent version of my database I got the message "Recuperating database from biblioexpress version 2 without copy of that version" and nothing came up. I checked copies of my files from a backup from 2006. They have .bxl extensions and I got the same message when I tried biblioexpress 3 with them.
You can zip all the files
You can zip all the files under your database folder ane email me the zip. Paul (support@biblioscape.com)
