Import endnote files in biblioexpress

Hello,

I have the following problem: I would like to convert my endnote files into biblioexpress files. Unfortunately I have no success. Maybe you can help me and explain the right steps to me, because I couldn't find instructions in the web.

This is what I did:

- I opened a new biblioexpress database

- I clicked on "Import --> Endnote Refer file"

- now I clicked on the endnote File I wanted to import

- the result is: "I/O error 32" :(

What do I do wrong?

Maybe the I/O error 32

Maybe the I/O error 32 occured because the endnote database was open. I've tried it again now without opening it. Unfortunately, nothing happens: The biblioexpress database is as empty as it was before.

BiblioExpress can not import

BiblioExpress can not import EndNote database. It can only import EndNote Refer file. You can post a sample record from the file you were trying to import. In EndNote, you can export records as EndNote Refer file. Thanks.

Thanks for the answer! But

Thanks for the answer! But it still doesn't work. I'm not sure, if I did everything right. This is what I did:

-   I selected all references in endnote.

- then I clicked on export. There are the options to export it as html, rich text format or  text file. Is this the converting you mean? I couldn't find in endnote how to convert it in a Refer file (I used the help function, too). Unfortunately neither of the three options is working, when I trie to import the files to Biblioexpress. (And I didn't forget to close endnote ;)

Please post a sample record from the file you exported from EndNote.

there was a lot of other work to do... this is why I reply so late. I actually don't quite understand what you mean by posting a sample. Copy the name of the sample? Or something else?

Here is just the name: file:///E:/Hiwis/KopiervorlagenDatenbank/Kopiervorlagen_Literatur%20Copy.enl

BiblioExpress can not import

BiblioExpress can not import EndNote database, it can only import the EndNote Refer file. You have to export records from EndNote in the Refer format. http://www.biblioscape.com/tip_981118ad.htm

Was that file opened by any

Was that file opened by any other application at time of import?
