Hello
I downloaded BiblioExpress free version, and after Unzipping, It installed itself, and the window opened with pre-set examples. But When I tried to see if it imported saved(downloaded) citations, It gave a pop-up saying
Access violation at address 0048D560 in module ‘BiblioExpress.exe’. Read of the address 0000000
The greater problem is that the pop-up doesn't go even after clicking on the ok 100 times.
What is this error? The biblioexpress is also not closing, even on right-clicking at the deskbar.
Please help
Alak, Please use Windows
Alak, Please use Windows task to kill it. BiblioExpress can only import EndNote Refer or Biblioscape tag file. Please post a sample record of the file you were trying to import. I guess the format is not support by BiblioExpress.
Thanks, but
Dear Paul
Thanks for ur reply.
I want to add downloaded citations from websites for importing in Biblioexpress.
I am not too sure if Endnote Refer and Biblioscape tag file formats are got only after having Endnote or Biblioscape. i.e. thru exporting from Endnote and Biblioscape.
At the site I usually search (http://online.sagepub.com/cgi/citmgr?gca=spijg;11/2/156) viz Sage publications, they allow downloads in 'Endnote format' ---which i think, is not the Endnote refer format.
I thought that if I can download citation in Endnote format (as given at that site) I will be able to import it into Biblioexpress. But there is a glitch somewhere...most likely they are not the same formats.
I wonder if there is any way I can use some/any formats available for download at that site to import it directly into Biblioexpress (Manually entering data in each field is quite tiring). Please tell me if there is any way to do this.
Directly imported into
Directly imported into BiblioExpress is not supported. But this is possible with Biblioscape which support EndNote DirectExport after you click the button in the "Tools | Options" window "Import/Export" tab. BiblioExpress is freeware, so it has limited feature set. Thanks, Paul
