My temporary citations look like the following: [Thomas, 1927 @2240 #1943]
When I format my citation is MS Word in Chicago 15th Notes I get an extra space between the page number and the final period of the citation.
William I. Thomas and Znaniecki, The Polish Peasant in Europe and America, vol. II (New York: Alfred A. Knopf, 1927), 2240 .
When I remove the space between the page number and the reference number in the temporary citation [Thomas, 1927 @2240#1943] that extra space seems to go away.
Is this the correct behavior? It looks from the examples that there should be a space between the page number an the reference number in the examples.
This is not a big deal, it is easy to strip the space out of the formatted footnotes, but I just wanted to make sure I was doing things correctly.
thanks.
