I have a Librarian edition, the latest patch 7.33, but I can't access the composition module. All it shows is a Folder list, but no buttons, + or - ... Any thoughts?
I created a new folder. But don't know how to create a new "Composition" folder because no proper Composition menu appears when I go to Composition module.
I had the same problem. For some reason after creating a new folder named "Compositions" it worked.
Any other title I tried out did not work. Selecting Folder Type: Composition with a name like "My First Composition" did not work. "Composition 1" did not work either. Eventually I found new folders of the reference type with no title in it in my Folders List. I deleted those and kept trying.
Only when I entered a folder named "Compositions" it worked. Go figure... : )
Hi Soares, thank you for your input. As for me, not even "compositions" worked. Your answer makes me think there is definitely a bug that Paul needs to look at. Let's wait for his response.
The first patch release that include the composition module has a bug. That patch has been replaced a couple of days later. Do you have the latest patch release? Thanks, Paul
This is how it worked for me, after installing the Pro version:
Every time I clicked on Go in the menu bar and selected Compositions, I would get a message saying that I should first create a Composition folder. I try several times creating composition folders (selecting Folder Type: Composition) with different names. None really worked. Instead, the system created Reference type folders. I deleted those.
When I finally figured to create a Compositions folder of the Composition type with the name Compositions in it is that the module started working for me. I believe you should be in the root of the folder tree too. Right-click on an empty spot of the folder list and select create a new folder. Select Folder type compositions and name it Compositions. I have reinstalled the whole package too and updated with patch 7.33 before doing this. Make sure you know where to find your databases (Back up) before doing this.
Please go to "File | Folder
