fld_bib.DAT does not exist

When I try to set the database to be posted on the web in the BiblioWeb application, I get the message "<pathname>\fld_bib.DAT does not exist". What might the problem be here?

I'm also getting the message

I'm also getting the message "DBISAM Engine Error # 11294 The database 'DataBase_global does not exist on the database server" when I try to use the composition module. I'm wondering whether there's something wrong about the way my database is set up.

Are you openning the

Are you openning the database through BiblioRemote server? If yes, could you restart Biblioscape and open the database directly to see if you get the same error message. Thanks.

Yes, I was indeed accessing

Yes, I was indeed accessing via BiblioRemote. I've tried on the local machine, and this time I get a series of errors, for example: an access violation, a DBSIAM error 11949 "end of SELECT statement expected, instead found "Link_to""

I get the access violation when I try to create a new note. I get the 11949 when I go to the Index tab and click on the pane to the right of the Folder pane, at the bottom of the window. I haven't done a full check of all the ways in which these errors appear.

Hugh, which version of

Hugh, which version of Biblioscape do you have? The latest release is versioin 7.31 at http://support.biblioscape.com/node/1212

I'm using 7.31, Paul.

I'm using 7.31, Paul.

Is BiblioWeb also updated to

Is BiblioWeb also updated to 7.31? I cannot reproduce the bugs you reported. Thanks.

Paul -- That was the

Paul -- That was the problem. For some reason the version of BiblioWeb that was running as a system service was a much older one. I don't really understand why, because I always shut down the BiblioWeb and BiblioRemote services before updating it; anyway, BiblioWeb seems fine now. I still have the problem with the Composition module, however.

Hugh

Hugh, Can you give me a more

Hugh, Can you give me a more detailed instruction to reproduce the Compositions module bug? Thanks.

Paul -- Even with 7.31 I'm

Paul -- Even with 7.31 I'm still getting the following problems with the composition module:

When logging in over BiblioRemote, when I select Go > Compositions, I get the message: "DBISAM Engine Error # 11294 The database 'DataBase_global' does not exist on the database server at <IP address>

When logging in on the local machine, when I select Go > Compositions, and then try to create a composition by clicking on the "+" in the Outline tab, type in a name and hit Enter, I get an access violation in Biblioscape.exe.

Hugh, please get 7.32 patch

Hugh, please get 7.32 patch release at http://www.biblioscape.com/download/bsp7_patch.zip and let me know if both bugs are fixed. Thanks. Paul

Hi Paul I've done that,

Hi Paul

I've done that, and when I go to Go > Compositions I'm getting the DBISAM error 11949, with the message "End of SELECT statement expected, instead found 'link_from'. If I dismiss this message and try to create an outline by clicking on the + tab I get "Query_comOutline: Cannot perform this operation on a closed dataset." I get the same behaviour regardless of whether I'm using Biblioscape on the local machine or as a remote client to BiblioRemote.

Hugh

Hugh, Can you zip all the

Hugh, Can you zip all the files under your database folder and let me download the zip. I do not get this on my machine. Thanks.

Hugh, there is no need to

Hugh, there is no need to send me the zip now. I can reproduce this bug when there is no composition folder added in your database. In the final 7.32 release, this bug is fixed. Thanks.

Thanks, yes, it's fixed.

Thanks, yes, it's fixed.

I've encountered a bug in the Compositions module concerning the display of the note panes below the note tree. If I click on the "Horizontal/Vertical" button the display of the windows changes as expected. If it's in the vertical (side-by-side) display, however, and I drag the vertical divider bar between the two panes horizontally some distance and then click on the button, the panes disappear and I can only get them back by returning to References, exiting Biblioscape and relaunching. It doesn't happen when the panes are in horizontal display and I drag the divider bar up and down.

Hugh

Hugh, I can reproduce this.

Hugh, I can reproduce this. This resize bug will be fixed in the next patch release. Thanks.
