Where is my note?

I created a note folder. Then I created a note, with content, to place in the folder. The note started out in the wrong folder, but I moved it to the correct folder.

However, the note does not show up in that folder at all. I can find it by searching for it, but that is the only means I currently have to find it and read it. When I find the note by searching for it, the status bar at the bottom shows that it is in the proper folder. But when I look in that folder in the Folder List, the note does not appear.

Where is my note? why doesn't it show up in the Folder List? (It doesn't show whether I use either Folder List or Notes module.)

Also, while I'm bothering you, is there any recommended way for accessing and using a few common accent marks? All I really need, at least 90% of the time, are: á é í ó ú .

Thank you for your help.

Progress (sort of)

Okay, I again located my note in Search, and copied the content to a new note, so I can now easily locate and use its content. However, that type of disappearance is unnerving. Do you have any idea where the original note was hiding, when I couldn't find it except under Search?

Second, I did locate the accents I need under Insert | Symbol . This is quite awkward, though, when dealing often with texts in a foreign language, such that accents must be used quite frequently. Is there a way that I can keep just the 5-6 characters I need close by and in a convenient form for fast and ready use?

Thank you again.

I cannot reproduce the note

I cannot reproduce the note disappearing problem. For entering accented characters, you can remember its keystroke shortcut. Pleas see: http://support.biblioscape.com/node/1232

Good but . . .

Paul,

Thank you for your reply, and especially for posting such detailed instructions. I do have one suggestion - add the word "accents" into your text.

The reason I recommend this is that I did do a search before posting my question to you. (I do my best!) The search word I used, for lack of a better, was "accents." The only post I found at that time was one concerning Brazil and Portuguese. I think this is how most people would frame a search. (Maybe Search hasn't incorporated the new material yet, and then this suggestion is not necessary.)

(Also, I think you meant to insert the instruction "Click on run," before the instruction to insert the term "char" or "charmap.")

The new information is very good to have. Thank you again.

Do you mean change "accents"

Do you mean change "accents" to "accented characters"?

Sort of the reverse

Paul, sort of the reverse. Just to make sure that the word "accents" appears in your explanation of how to add accented characters. It would never occur to me to search for the term "accented characters" (though I do like that expression). I would only think to search for the word "accents." So I could miss your explanation, and that would be a pity.

So my suggestion is just to add the word "accents" somewhere in your explanation. Which, again, is very helpful.
