Categories which were created from Biblioscape 6 folders have (extra?) underscores before and after their names.
The result of this is that these categories are not checked in the reference editor window although categories with these names exist. Also, if I open the category, the references are not shown as belonging to it.
Q: How can I remove the (extra) underscores from the category fields of these records?
Update:
Extra underscores in category names were removed by updating to version 7.30.
But now, if I open a category, not any reference is shown as belonging to it.

I went from 6.x directly to 7.30 and found that none of "old folders" categories worked. They were all empty. (Which is one reason why I'm not "upgrading" to v. 7 for now.)

I cannot reproduce this. Can you zip all the files under your database folder and email me the zip. Please send me the zipped database of version 6 database also. So I can compare. Once you converted a database to version 7.3, and you open it with version 7.2, the categories will not work properly because the data are changed. Version 7.3 treats categories differently.

I send you the 7.27 and the 7.30 databases.
To repeat the problem:
In 7.30, in the Folder List click on Categories (Message "Categories module is not included in Lite or Standard Edition, please upgrade." -- I have the Standard Edition), doubleclick on one of the categories, the category editor opens, on the right it has a window titled "References (0)" which shows not any reference. In 7.27 this window shows the references which belong to categories added in version 7 but not the references which belong to categories converted from version 6 folders.
This applies to all categories, regardless whether a category was converted from a version 6 folder or added in version 7.
Note that the categories are now (after conversion to 7.30) correctly checkmarked in the reference editor window and also are found by advanced search e.g. "category" contains "xyz", for both, categories converted from version 6 folders and categories added in version 7.
