Composition modul

Paul,

other observations:
a) when dragging and dropping a first note to an outline folder it can't be dropped directly in this folder, it is only dropped to the outline, I have to put it then under the folder and it works. A second note I drag and drop can be dropped directly to the folder.

b) the draft tab on Inspector pane is a genius masterpiece!!! I like very much the idea to write directly in this window to complete my draft before exporting it to word! Perhaps it would be useful to give this part of the Composition modul even more importance
- when putting it on the top of the Inspector pane
- when adding all the format possibilities of notes, and perhaps most useful
- when giving to the writer the choice to save changes only in the composition or in composition and notes. If changes are not saved in notes but only in composition, the note can be reused as it was for an other composition. Another possiblity to come to the same result would be to have the possibility to add a sort of comment in the draft which is to be found in composition only but not in the note.

c) There are two sort of notes I want to create in Composition modul:
First, a "normal" note (e.g. citation note) which I want to put in a Notes folder to have the possibility of reuse later.
Second, a note considered either as (title of) chapter, subchapter or subsubchapter for my project . This note is only to be found in the composition project. As I don't know exactely at the beginning of the writing process if my subchapter is getting a chapter or a subsubchapter in Composition modul this sort of note should stay (like it is now) free to move around to change the hierachie. But I think it would be helpful when creating such a note to have the possibilty to assign it for use as title of a chapter, subchapter and so on... and that this will generate automatically in the "Suggested Reading" tab chapters.

Thank you very much
Marcus

a) In composition module,

a) In composition module, you can only drag notes to the outline, not the folder.
b) You can click the right mouse button to toggle the toolbar and ruler on.
c) In the Suggested Reading tab, we can add a button called "Get Chapters from Outline". It will go through the outline, if there is a note with type "Book Chapter", it will add it to the chapters list if it is not already there.

c) I think this will be a very good solution!

a) I'm very sorry, I wasn't clear: I meant, that it is at the moment note possible to add a note via the note tab directly under a composition note, the note is dropped first under the composition and had then to be moved under the composition note.

b) Sorry, I don't understand very well, I can't click right mouse button under draft and I didn't find a way to insert a commentary only in the draft without this data is saved in the note;

Thanks
Marcus

a) Do you mean you want to

a) Do you mean you want to add a child note of the selected note on the Outline tab of the Composition module?
b) You can click the right mouse button to toggle the toolbar. The draft is made of individual note dynamically. It is not stored on the disk. So it is not possible to comment on a draft. But you can comment on individual note. I think the best place to do that is in the Misc field which is available on the Inspector tab.
