As I experienced problems with pre 7.19 categories (see http://support.biblioscape.com/node/1010#comment-3344) I deleted (in 7.27) an old categories folder 'Recht' (containing several categories and sub-categories), emptied the deleted folder (which, by the way, caused an access violation error as always...), ran rebuild and re-opened BS again. However, the folder's ghost is still present: If I type 'Recht' in the menu of the categories tab on the right, all the categories are still there. If I create a new categories folder 'Recht' and select it in the folder list or in the categories module, it is empty (as it should be). But if I select this folder in the categories tab on the right, all the old categories are still showing up. So, while the folder itself seems to be new, the folder shown in the tab on the right is the old one. Why? I think it shouldn't be this way. Thanks, Lars

I am still wondering how I can get rid of those old categories and fill the new categories folder 'Recht' with new categories and sub-categories. Thanks, Lars.
Lars, I cannot reproduce
Lars, I cannot reproduce this. The problem may be fixed in version 7.3. Once 7.3 is available later this month, please give it a test and let me know the result. Thanks.
Paul, unfortunately the
Paul, unfortunately the problem has not disappeared with BS 7.30 or BS 7.31. The deleted categories are still showing up in the categories list on the right when I type the category name "Recht" in the combo box. In the end, I "solved" the problem by creating a new library (in BS 7.31) and importing the references; I assume that there must have been something wrong with the old library.
But now I experience a similar problem in the new library with deleted references: I imported several references from a tagged text file. As I forgot to first change the encoding I deleted all references and imported them again. Although I emptied the trash folder and restructured the database, the deleted references are still showing up in search results or the "link to" dialog window, see screenshot.
How can I get rid of those references without having to create new libraries again and again?
And, is there a way to directly import notes from one library into another?
Thanks, Lars.
Lars, I followed your steps
Lars, I followed your steps exactly. But still I cannot reproduce it. Can anyone else reproduce this bug? Thanks.
