Biblioscape 7.26 release

Version 7.26 patch can be downloaded at http://www.biblioscape.com/download/bsp7_patch.zip. The above URL always contains the latest patch which includes all the earlier 7.x patches. Please quit Biblioscape first and unzip the downloaded file to your Biblioscape installation folder to replace the old files. Here is the list of bugs fixed and new features added in version 7.26.

  • Bug fix: Link folder icon is not displayed in reference editor, note editor, and record link window. Clicking on link folder doesn't open the records under it.
  • New feature: In the Advanced Search tab of all modules, the calendar will now display the date in red if there are records created or modified on that date.
  • Improvement: When linking a record to a file that is under the database folder "attachments" sub-folder, relative path will be used instead of full path. So the link won't be broken when moving a databae from one computer to another.
  • Bug fix: In references module, when special font is used, Biblioscape may skip the first few temporary citations.

need more improvement for linking a file to a record

The improvement linking a record to a file that is under the database folder "attachments" sub-folder, relative path will be used instead of full path is perfect. But why not give us a choice to choose where to put the folder "attachements" and keep the relative path? I think it will give us more flexibility. Thank you!

If the attachment folder is

If the attachment folder is customizable, it has to be set again when you move a database from one computer to another. If it is under the database folder, you don't need to change anything. Thanks.

Paul, New feature: In the

Paul,

New feature: In the Advanced Search tab of all modules, the calendar will now display the date in red if there are records created or modified on that date.

This new feature works, but the advanced search page needs on my machine (XP SP2) very long (about ten seconds) to build up. During this time I can't work with biblioscape because it is locked.
Thanks

Because there is no seconday

Because there is no seconday index built for Date_created and Date_modified fields. In Biblioscape 7.3 release, Biblioscape will add those indexes automatically. For now, you can go to "Tools | Options" window, on the "Database" tab, add secondary index to those two fields manually by click on the check boxes. Then the advanced search display will be very fast. Please let me know the result. Thanks.

Checking the box

Checking the box "Date_modified" results in a "DBISAM Engine Error # 11013 Acces denied on table bib" Then I can't close the Option window: after clicking ok I get: "Table_bib_main: Field 'Ref_type' not found" Then other Error messages and I had to shut down Biblioscape.

Thanks
Marcus
