runnig biblioscape 6 and 7 on the same computer

Since some changes I made to reference types in version 6 and the flags I attached cannot be retrieved after the conversion in version 7, the obvious question is: can I still run the backed up database in version 6 (which I did not de-install) on my computer in order to at least see which changes I have to make manually in version 7 to end up with the same dataset that I had in version 6? To put it short: can I run both versions at the same computer (but not at the same time)?
If yes, how do I do that (how do I open the database of which I have a back up in version 6 and one in version 7)?

First, backup your version 6

First, backup your version 6 database and put it in a safe place. If version 7 and 6 opens their own database, you can have both on the same computer.
