Importing notes from Scholar's Aid

I have just returned to the Biblioscape fold after a couple of frustrating years with Scholar's Aid, which seems to have an unstable database structure and many frustrating bugs. I have imported my references without too many problems. But the importing module for SA notes does not seem to work seamlessly. I have about 5500 notes organized into a fairly simple folder structure (i.e. not too many child folders, mostly just a folder for each separate source). When I do a full import, I get quite a large number of notes imported, but the process seems somewhat random. Divisions between notes are not always recognized (so separate notecards are appended in one huge block) and the first letters or word of some notecard titles are missing. I have tried importing individual folders. Often this fails completely, and I get the message that 0 cards were imported. Sometimes it works, but again not seamlessly. Does anyone have some experience with importing SA notes that they could share? Alternatively, it would help to hear from Paul exactly what the RTF of SA notecards needs to look like to facilitate the import. Do I export from SA with or without Source? I would actually like to strip all the font formatting, since this was one of SA's annoying bugs. But it seems like just opening the RTF guarantees that the import won't work at all.
Any suggestions or comments would be appreciated.

importing notes from Scholar's Aid

Actually, I managed to solve part of the problem. It finally dawned on me that I needed to export with the source tags attached to each card for Biblioscape to distinguish the separate notes. This meant first fixing numerous broken links in Scholar's Aid (one of the many frustrations with that program). So now most cards have imported, and I am going through to fix smaller problems. The first one that I'd like to tackle is fonts. SA made it impossible to standardize fonts within notecards. So the export RTF is a mix of Times New Roman 9 pt (too small and annoying for good screen viewing) and other things. With some experimenting, it seems that the headings of the notecards need to be in a larger font to be recognized. But can I somehow get rid of the other tags before importing? I've done a select all and changed to Trebuchet or Verdana, but the import then fails. Any hints would be appreciated.

I don't know much about

I don't know much about Scholar's Aid. I suggest you first get the data imported. Then fix the minor issues inside Biblioscape. Thanks.
