Notes as Clones

Paul,

Would it be possible to implement Notes as "copied notes" and as "clones"?

I explain my concept: I'm working with three Main folders (Research, Teaching, Projects). In "Reasearch" I collect all information I want to put in the database. I use here four "Reference folders" and four "Notes folders" representing big areas of my work. In the Notes folders I collect a lot of single notes which are ordered in a hierachical structure (Main Note | Child Note | Child Note ; Main Note | Main Note etc.). This is the way I can collect different statements and thesis (as pros and cons) for a subject.

Once I have collected enough information to write my paper I go to the main folder "Project", where I want to do the outlines and write my paper before exporting (shooting) the draft for the final layout into LaTex or Word. I can drag and drop the important notes there, but I dont want to change them in my writing process and keep them in the hierarchie they are in my data collection for later use and other papers. Therefore, I would be a great help to have two possibilities when dragging and dropping a note:
1) to copy this note and not only to cut and paste it.
2) to assign a note as a "clone", this note is also a copy from its original, but when changing the content the original note is also modified. This would be very helpful in the case I want to update my information in the original note while writing my paper.
Thanks
Marcus

Marcus, I understand your

Marcus, I understand your needs. We will take it into consideration when developing the composition module in Biblioscape. Thanks.

Composition modul

Paul,

I think it will be a very wellcome feature because all writing can be done in one application and then only the formatting is to be done in Word or LaTex? when do you plan to add the "Composition modul" to Biblioscape?

Thank you
Marcus

The composition module

The composition module allows users to reuse notes in different composition projects. The idea is same as cloned notes. Instead of working under a notes folder, you work under a composition folder. You can add new notes or use existing notes to this folder. We will start to include beta version of the composition module in Biblioscape 7.3.x release.
