New Computer Migration of Program and Data

I have a new computer and Windows XP Prof S2. How can I migrate the Biblio 6 to the new computer? If I reinstall it will be a trial version that requires that I register again. That is OK if that is the way I have to do it. Do I use the same registration number? How do I transfer my biblio data files? Can I use the XP File Transfer system to do that? Or, export and import?

Please install the trial

Please install the trial copy on your new PC and let us know your new "Machine ID" by go to the "Help | About" window in Biblioscape. To transfer the data files, you need to copy all the files under your database folder to the new computer. You can simply zip the database folder and unzip it on the new PC. Then start Biblioscape, go to "File | Database | Open Database" and go to the database folder and open the *.bsl file.

New Computer Migration

Hi, I basically have the same question.  My desktop computer died and I need to transfer everything to a laptop until I get the desktop computer replaced.

As I recall from the first time I installed Biblioscape, and as confirmed above, I need to tell someone my Machine ID.  Who is it I tell?

Paul

Who is it I tell?

Paul, tell Paul Chen by email and he will send you a new serial number
