I would like to delete a folder but keep the references stored in the folder. Do I need to move the references to another folder?
By the way: Since I migrated my database from V6 to V7, I have lots of references that do not reside in any folder. Doesn't this contradict the concept of the folder as the physical place where the reference (or note, etc.) is kept?

In version 6, a reference
In version 6, a reference doesn' t have to be in a folder. This change is made in versioin 7. So when you convert a database from version 6, it is possible there are references not in any folder. You can do a Advanced Search to find all those records. Select the field "Folder" in Advanced Search. Then pick "is blank or empty" as the search condition. You can then move those references into a folder.
Yes, you need to move those records to another folder before you delete their parent folder.

Paul, I did as suggested. Biblioscape V7 freezes on moving all references that don't reside in any folder (slightly more than 1,000 in my case).

The current implementation
The current implementation becomes extremely slow when the selected records is large. This bug will be fixed in 7.21 release. Thanks.
